PREPARE                                                            b.   Install screws (2). lighten.
                                                                        Torque: 6-8 in-lbs (0.65-0.9 N·m) LHCM rear cover
1.   Remove right side steering head cover. See SIDE                    screw
     COVERS (Page 3-52)

2.   Remove main fuse.         See POWER DISCONNECT
     (Page 8-4)

3.   If equipped: Remove left deflector. See HANDLEBAR
     WIND DEFLECTORS (Page 3-96)

REMOVE
1.   See Figure 8-28. Remove rear cover (1 ).

     a.    Remove screw (2).

     b.   Disconnect Left Hand Control Module (LHCM)
          connector (2).

     c.    Position both connectors out-of-way.

3.   See Figure 8-30. Remove LHCM.

     a.    Remove clamp screw (2).

     b.    Remove LHCM.

1.   See Figure 8-30. Install LHCM (1 ).

     a.    Position LHCM.

     b.   Install clamp screw (2). Tighten.
          Torque: 56--68 in-lbs (6.3-7.7 N·m) LHCM clamp
          screw

2.   See Figure 8-29. Connect connectors.

     a.   Connect LHCM connector (2).

     b.    Connect left heated hand grip connector (1).
