COOLANT HOSES 7.9
PREPARE

NOTE
If replacing lower coolant hose, remove radiator. See
RADIATOR (Page 1-18).

1. Remove main fuse. See POWER DISCONNECT
(Page 8-4).

2. Remove skid plate. See SKID PLATE (Page 3-92).

3. Remove engine guards (if equipped). See ENGINE
GUARDS (Page 3-94).

4. Remove lower fairing. See FAIRING LOWERS
(Page 3-90). 1. Radiator
2. Clamp (2)
a. If replacing upper radiator hose, remove left side 3. Upper coolant hose
lower fairing. 4. Thermostat housing

b. If replacing overflow hose, remove right side lower
fairing. 1633411

5. Drain coolant. See COOLANT (Page 7-8).

REMOVE AND INSTALL: COOLANT HOSES

Remove

1. See Figure 7-13. Remove upper coolant hose.

a. Remove and discard clamps (2).

b. Remove upper coolant hose (3).

2. Remove lower coolant hose.

a. Remove radiator. See RADIATOR (Page 7-18).

Install
1. Clamp
1. See Figure 7-13. Upper coolant hose install. 2. Hose
3. Positioning mark
a. Clean thermostat hosing (4) outlet and radiator (1)

REMOVE AND INSTALL: OVERFLOW HOSE
b. Clean inside ends of coolant hose (3).
Remove coolant overflow tank. See COOLANT OVERFLOW
c. Install coolant hose. TANK (Page 7-14).

d. See Figure 7-14. Install new clamps (1) on COMPLETE
positioning marks (3) as shown.
1. Add coolant. See COOLANT (Page 7-8).
e. See Figure 7-13. Secure clamps (2).

2. Install lower fairing. See FAIRING LOWERS (Page 3-90).
2. Install lower coolant hose. See RADIATOR (Page 7-18).

a. If upper radiator hose was removed, install left side
