REAR BRAKE CALIPER 3.17
PREPARE
1. If replacing caliper: Drain brake fluid. See BLEED
BRAKES (Page 3-49).
REMOVE
NOTE
See Figure 3-40. Record position of brake line before removing.
1. See Figure 3-39. If replacing caliper: Detach brake line.
a. Remove banjo bolt (3).
b. Discard gasket washers (2).
2. Remove rear brake caliper.

a. Remove mounting screws (5).
3. Banjo bolt
b. Remove caliper (1). 4. Brake line
5. Mounting screw (2)

Brake caliper, rear, banjo bolt 17-19 ft-lbs 23-26 N·m
Brake caliper, rear, mounting 15-18 ft-lbs 20-24 N·m

1. See Figure 3-39. Install brake caliper.
a. Install brake caliper (1) on caliper bracket (6).
b. Install mounting screws (5). Tighten.
Torque: 1 �18 ft-lbs (20-24 N·m) Brake caliper, rear.

2. If replacing caliper: Attach brake line.
a. Attach brake line (4) with banjo bolt (3) and new
gasket washers (2).

b. See Figure 3-40. Position brake line as shown.

c. Tighten banjo bolt.
Torque: 17-19 ft-lbs (23-26 N·m) Brake caliper, rear.
