ENGINE GUARDS 3.34
PREPARE 3. Install right engine guard (2) with 3 screws. T ighten.
Torque: 18-22 ft-lbs (24-29.5 N·m) Engine guard mounting
1. Position motorcycle upright. See Secure the Motorcycle screw
for Service (Page 2-2).
4. Tighten headlamp guard screws.
2. Remove front fairing. See FAIRING (Page 3-89). Torque: 7-9 ft-lbs (9.5-12 N·m) Headlamp guard screw
3. Remove skid plate. See SKID PLATE (Page 3-92).
REMOVE
1. See Figure 3-119. Remove 3 screws (1) and left engine
guard (5).
2. Remove 3 screws and right engine guard (2).
3. Remove 2 screws (4) and headlamp guard (3).
INSTALL
1. Screw (6)

Headlamp guard screw 7-9 ft-lbs J

1. See Figure 3-119. Install headlamp guard (3). Attach with Figure 3-119. Engine Guards
2 screws (4) finger-tight. COMPLETE
2. Install left engine guard (5) with 3 screws (1). Tighten.
1. Install skid plate. See SKID PLATE (Page 3-92).
Torque: 18-22 ft-lbs (24-29.5 N·m) Engine guard mounting
screw 2. Install front fairing. See FAIRING (Page 3-89).
3. Remove motorcycle from lift. See Secure the Motorcycle
for Service (Page 2-2).
